In the Community

The Co-op, with the support of its 550+ member-families, has been able to do the following:

- increase the availability of organic and healthy non-GMO food on Cortes Island

- provide meaningful employment opportunities

- provide a marketplace for local produce, crafts and other home-based businesses.

- serve as a model for cooperative, ecologically & socially responsible business practices for our local community and beyond.

Annually, we donate to the Cortes Island Public School, Linnaea School, and the Linnaea Gardening Scholarship Fund. We give 10% discounts to local restaurants to encourage more organic food service and we often sell food at cost to organizers of community events.
